      Assistant Sound Designer

      This role reports to Senior Sound Designer - Capital


      Overview of job

      Create award-winning imaging and co-branded content solutions for Capital stations across the UK on all broadcast platforms. Under the guidance of our Senior Sound Designers, you’ll be assisting the lead production in imaging.

      In the first few months, you would have:

      • Worked alongside the team to develop the sound of the Capital brands.

      • Developed a healthy understanding of Global, Capital & Sub brands.

      • Had audio heard by millions of people.

      • Received professional training and guidance where needed.

      Responsibilities of the role

      • You'll be a fast learner striving to make every piece of audio perfect and have a natural thirst to make things better the following day.

      • Assisting the team in audio form & Interpret creative briefs with imaginative and exciting ways.

      • Produce fantastic sounding on air imaging from show promos, branded content, sweepers & branded intros.

      What you will need

      The ideal candidate will be proactive and willing to develop and implement innovative solutions, capable of the following:

      • An understanding of Pro Tools.

      • Knowledge in radio imaging and/or co-branded content production for a CHR station.

      • You'll be full of ideas and be able to think strategically about how audio will be used on the right platform at the right time.

      • We’re looking for someone who obsesses about the detail. If you’re a natural problem solver, with an outgoing and approachable attitude and creative flair – this could be the role for you.

      • Excellent time management skills are a bonus, with the ability to work quickly in a high-pressure environment without letting the quality slip.

      • Creative writing ability with a thorough understanding of how to write in spoken English.

      • You'll be confident when working towards your own personal objectives as well as helping others in achieving business goals, regularly setting and stretching new standards and goals.
