      The Tour Marketing Assistant will assist the Director of Tour Marketing in Wasserman Music Nashville’s Tour Marketing department. The ideal candidate has a strong interest in marketing, project management, and live music/touring. This position requires a highly detail-oriented, motivated, and organized individual who can take initiative while learning on the job. The ability to multi-task, collaborate, and prioritize is crucial as this role performs high-volume administrative and marketing tasks for the department, with a focus on tours in the Country/Americana/Indie space.

      General administrative duties include but are not limited to: scheduling and coordinating calls and meetings, maintaining Director’s day-to-day calendar, preparing travel and expense reports, creating presentations, taking notes, and other basic admin duties as assigned.

      This role is based in our Nashville,TN office. Candidates must be willing to relocate if they are not in Nashville.

      Role and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

      • Manage and maintain tracking spreadsheets for all artist tours on Director’s roster
      • Implement internal systems and processes to streamline marketing efficiencies
      • Collect localized creative, marketing plans, radio proposals, and ticketing deliverables from promoters
      • Cross-check promoter ticketing sites, websites, socials, and more to ensure tour is being properly marketed and all listing information is accurate
      • Proof artwork, press releases, and marketing letters
      • Act as liaison between agents, clients, and promoters
      • Work with external parties like VIP companies, presale partners, etc. to execute ticketing needs prior to a tour launch
      • Assist Director with mid-cycle and closing marketing efforts; brainstorm creative marketing ideas to use throughout a tour campaign
      • Collaborate with overall tour marketing team and other support staff on wider departmental tasks

      • 1-2 years of professional (or internship) experience working in music, marketing, or project management preferred
      • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially spreadsheets), Google Drive, and Box
      • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (preferred but not required)
      • Knowledge of social media and digital marketing best practices
      • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and organizational skills
      • Experience working with varied audiences in team settings
      • Proactive and intuitive with the ability to anticipate client and department needs
      • Reliable, collaborative, task-oriented, and not afraid to ask questions
      • Able to prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment and adapt to ever-changing priorities
      • Able to maintain confidentiality and professionalism with clients, management, and other team members

      Base salary: $46,500 plus bonus potential.

      Actual base salary is dependent on several factors including but not limited to; market dynamics, location and region, experience, specialized skills/training (education), level of responsibility, budgetary considerations, tenure at the company (for current employees), etc. The salary range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Compensation decisions are dependent on circumstances of each hire.
