What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Collaborate with engineering teams and business partners to design and develop new Snowflake Views and Power BI objects
- Provide technical requirements for the implementation of Snowflake and Power BI solutions
- Support the migration from on-prem BI tools to new cloud-based tools
- Communicate project status and updates to project participants
- Document and establish best practices and standards for BI solutions
What is Required (Qualifications):
- 1-3+ years of experience in a BI Engineering role, specifically with Power BI
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field preferred, or a combination of education and experience
- Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
- Experience in the retail industry with a focus on analytics and business intelligence
- Knowledgeable in DAX and SQL
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience designing and building BI Semantic layer models in an agile environment
- Hands-on experience with cloud and open source technologies
- Experience with other BI reporting solutions such as OBIEE and Tableau
- Ability to identify usage scenarios and patterns for BI solutions
