      Job Summary

The Associate Tech nical Op eration s (Tech Ops) Supply Chain Management ( SCM ) Consultant serves as the developmental level subject matter expert for Team initiatives by collaborati ng with various stakeholders to implement new processes, key ini ti atives, and technologies while leading the exec ution and delivery of projects on time and withi n budget. This Team works closely with Tech Ops Production, Engineering, Planning, Stores , and Quality to manage the aircraft component repairs process. The Associate Tech Ops SCM Consultant is a strong communicator and strategic thinker who looks forward to driving the future of technology at Southwest and making a meaningful financial impact on the Company.

This role is a hybrid position based out of our Corporate Campus in Dallas, TX, which requires Employees to work onsite on our Corporate Campus at least three days a week. The Department designates the specific three days of the week Employees must work on-site.

      Responsibilities
      • Act as a growing subject matter expert for Team or Department projects and initiatives.
      • Interact with other Supply Chain Management Teams concerning supply chain management/lifecycle issues.
      • Develop and mentor entry to mid level Team Members.
      • Develop a broader knowledge base and cultivate new skills to promote broader professional development.
      • Work with direct Leaders, Team Members, and other stakeholders to develop project charters for Team initiatives.
      • Drive direct Leaders and Team Members to make key decisions and accomplish objectives, regardless of obstacles and setbacks.
      • Develop summary presentations to enable decision making for direct Leaders.
      • Perform analysis to validate assumptions, construct justifications, and build business cases for Team initiatives.
      • Support the identification of potential opportunities through data analysis, industry knowledge, business models, and discussions with Stakeholders.
      • Perform other job duties as directed by direct Leaders.

      Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
      • Developmental level knowledge of supply chain management and aviation/aerospace.
      • Capable in verbal and written communication to articulate views concisely and convincingly.
      • Ability in developing presentations with the ability to digest, synthesize, and capture key messages and their rationale in clear communication.
      • Ability to persuade and influence direct Leaders.
      • Ability to identify unnecessary complexity at the Team level and seeking solutions to reduce or eliminate it.
      • Developmental level Knowledge of business and management principles involved in project management and consulting.
      • Ability to support and provide help to Team Members to ensure accuracy and completeness of tasks.
      • Ability to manage multiple projects and execute tasks simultaneously to meet Team objectives while seeking guidance as needed to resolve issues/questions.
      • Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
      • Ability to produce unusual or clever ideas about a given topic or situation, or to develop creative ways to solve a problem.
      • Preferred: Experience with Maintenix, Alteryx, Tableau, SAP, Aex , Service Parts Management, and Salesforce
      Education
      • Required: High School Diploma or GED

      Experience
      • Intermediate level experience, fully functioning broad knowledge in:
        • Supply chain management/lifecycle
        • Presentation development
        • Employee Mentoring
        • Project management
        • Process improvement
        • Aviation or aerospace
        • System administration with various technologies (e.g. SAP ERP/VIM, Maintenix, Aeroxchange, QuickBase database management, Alteryx, Tableau, Salesforce, Power Automate, Service Parts Management)

      Licensing/Certification
      • Required: SIDA badge and meet all local airport requirements

      Physical Abilities
      • Ability to perform work duties from limited space work station/desk/office area for extended periods of time.
      • Ability to communicate and interact with others in the English language to meet the demands of the job.
      • Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed and accuracy to meet the demands of the job

      Other Qualifications
      • Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines.
      • Must be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.
      • Must be at least 18 years of age.
      • Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines.
      • Must meet confidentiality expectations as to confidential, proprietary, and sensitive Company information.
      • Day shift with the ability to work other shifts as needed with little to short notice in support of strategic activities or critical problem solving.
      • Travel typically 10% or less, but with flexibility as needed to support strategic activities or critical problem solving.

      I acknowledge this is a hybrid position based out of Southwest’s Corporate Campus in Dallas, TX. This hybrid role provides workplace flexibility requiring me to be on-site on our Corporate Campus for at least three days each week. The Department designates the specific three days of the week, which are subject to change, that I am required to work on-site.

      Pay & Benefits:
      Competitive market salary from $84,350.00 per year to $93,700.00 per year
