Job Description

- Execute the quarterly asset modeling process to support the calculation of principles-based reserves, quarterly projections, Financial Plan, ALM, cash flow testing, and Economic Capital
- Analyze, explain and attribute changes in asset data and projections quarter-to-quarter
- Build and manage asset modeling tools in R and Excel
- Provide asset modeling support in MG-ALFA and PolySystems
- Monitor assets at the portfolio level and ensure appropriate and sufficient assets are allocated, considering liability and regulatory constraints
- Build out modeling approaches and assumptions for new asset classes
- Generate real world and risk neutral scenarios
- Support the development of economic assumptions (e.g. spreads, defaults, equity returns, etc).
- Perform ALM analyses, including duration calculations and ad hoc projects to optimize results.
- Document asset information and assumptions for CFT, AG53, etc.
- Liaison between Actuarial, NAMCO, and ERM with respect to asset-related topics and initiatives
- Support strategic asset allocation (SAA) analyses
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- At least 5 years of experience in actuarial, ALM and/or asset-related fields
- FSA/ASA or CFA credential
- Actuarial software experience (MG-ALFA, PolySystems) preferred
- Strong technical and coding abilities, proficiency with R or Python preferred
- Experience with FactSet, BondEdge or similar asset software preferred
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills
- Ability to work in a dynamic, flexible work environment
- Strong communication and collaborative skills

The compensation for this position falls within Nassau’s salary band E: $130,000-$180,000.
