      Job Description

      Position Summary

      Brookfield Properties Multifamily LLC in New York, NY has multiple openings for Associate, Asset Management to manage existing company multifamily assets and portfolios.

      Duties Include

      Monitoring and maintaining property and portfolio investment performances, as well as supporting asset and portfolio dispositions, financings, and other capital events in conjunction with strategic-decision making.

      Additional duties involve all aspects of financial and real estate investment analysis, including: conducting quantitative analyses of financial data; preparing and reviewing monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting of the portfolio including NPV valuations, equity multiples, reforecasting, business planning, and projecting IRR; creating and modifying property investment models in Microsoft Excel to project and track cash flows, liquidity, valuations, and return metrics. He or she cultivates and maintains business relationships by working closely with multifamily affiliates, operators, joint venture partners, and investors.

      Those in this position will complete due diligence related to real estate capital transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, and financings. Other responsibilities include oversight of bank account opening, closing, and account inventory, performing complex financial and sensitivity analyses, conducting market research, and ad-hoc analysis.

      Requirements

      Position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field or foreign equivalent as evidenced by a credentials evaluation; and four (4) years of real estate finance experience. Of this experience, one (1) year must be in real estate asset management or portfolio management and include: creating and modifying property investment models in Microsoft Excel; due diligence related to real estate capital transactions; and management of U.S. based multifamily assets or portfolios. Must complete proficiency test in Microsoft Excel modeling.

      Compensation

      Annual Base Salary Range: $175k - $180k

      Annual Bonus Target (Discretionary): 25-30%
