- Design and independently implement in vitro and cell-based experiments to support preclinical characterization and evaluation of relevant targets and pathways using pharmacological agents or genetic tools such as siRNA or CRISPR technologies.
- Perform molecular and biochemical assessments on samples from tissues and cells including RNA/DNA isolation and analysis, gene and protein expression analyses, and other analytical techniques.
- Demonstrate the ability to work independently with a high level of ownership and accountability and show initiative within cross-functional project teams.
- Be adaptable, with the ability to learn new biology, establish new techniques, and quickly pivot in a data-driven environment.
- Accurate record keeping, independent data analysis, and communication of data in written and oral formats.
- Perform work in full compliance with Lilly Research Policies and complete all required training activities in the timeframe specified.
- BS or MS in biology, biochemistry, molecular biology or similar
- 3+ years of work experience in biochemistry and / or cellular and molecular biology
- A background in biology, cell/molecular biology and metabolic disease is a plus
- Proficiency in a wide array of cell biology techniques including cell culture, transfection, FACS, and cell-based assays
- Knowledge/hands-on experience in implementation of methods and analysis including gene expression (RNA isolation and qPCR), and protein expression (western, JESS, ELISA, MSD).
- Experience with various assay detection technologies (fluorescence, luminescence, FRET, alpha-screen, radiometric assays) and ability to implement and validate new technologies

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is
$63,000 - $162,800The Cardio Metabolic Health (CMH) Team at Eli Lilly drives the discovery of biological, small molecule, and genetic therapies for diabetes, obesity, and related conditions. We seek a skilled, motivated individual to join our collaborative Cardiovascular and Renal research team. This role requires strong molecular and cellular lab skills to support both new research initiatives and ongoing pipeline projects. The candidate will develop in vitro biochemical and cellular assays and establish key lab capabilities, collaborating with scientists across departments to meet project and department goals.
