      A Day in the Life

      Are you passionate about precision and process improvement? As an Associate Calibration Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy of our equipment while spearheading initiatives to elevate the service levels of our department. This position is ideal for a proactive individual who thrives on identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing solutions that drive efficiency and quality.

      You’ll become part of a dynamic and self-propelling team located in Heerlen which is dedicated to delivering successful and accurate calibrations of equipment. With a flexible hybrid work model, this role allows you to balance in-office and remote work.

      Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

      • Analyze existing calibration workflows and processes, identifying areas for optimization to improve service levels and that carry strategic value
      • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement initiatives that enhance efficiency, reduce downtime, and improve response times.
      • Maintain accurate calibration records and reports to ensure traceability and audit readiness
      • Support internal and external audits by providing accurate calibration documentation
      • Perform regular reviews and updates of quality procedures, ensuring they align with changing requirements and best practices
      • Perform calibration and verification of instruments, equipment, and systems used in production and testing
      • Proactively monitor service metrics and key performance indicators, identifying trends and recommending corrective actions
      • Monitor industry trends and best practices to drive innovation and maintain competitiveness in calibration methods

      Required Knowledge and Experience:

      • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related field
      • Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
      • Basic understanding of calibration principles, measurement uncertainty, and metrology
      • Familiarity with calibration tools and software
      • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
      • Excellent organizational and communication skills

      Desirable

      • Previous experience in calibration, metrology, or quality assurance
      • Knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 or similar standards
      • Hands-on experience with sensors, gauges, and testing equipment
      • Exposure to stakeholder engagement and change management
