- Managing the delivery of Cardnet Merchant Services solutions and generate new opportunities by managing relationships with customers (small and medium sized companies).
- Keep track of risk parameters and risk assesses each opportunity, working collaboratively with Credit Risk and AML colleagues to onboard clients.
- Track the overall progress of deals, and oversee your pipeline of opportunities, from the leads provided, through to the delivery of a successful client needs met.
- Deliver an exceptional client experience at all times.
- A track record in a fast-paced sales environment in a direct sales team.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast paced, client facing role.
- A real passion for developing new relationships and uncovering future business opportunities and helping our clients and their business grow.
- Excellent relationship management, negotiation and influencing skills to agree the best technical solution for the customer.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow a structured sales and compliance process.
- Adherence to regulatory/compliance standards – demonstrating fair and well evidenced customer outcomes that are tailored to the needs of the business.
- Merchant acquiring experience in a fast-paced sales environment.
- Knowledge of merchant services solutions and the different ways businesses can take payments.
- Background in Banking/Financial Services.

JOB TITLE: Associate
LOCATION(S): Basildon and Leeds
SALARY: £37,000 to £45,000
HOURS: Full time
WORKING PATTERN: Two days per week (or 40% of your time) at one of our offices listed above.
About the opportunityWe're recruiting for an enthusiastic and hardworking individual to become an Associate within the Cardnet Merchant Services arm of our Direct Telephony business, providing tailored customer solutions and helping businesses grow.
This proactive sales role will see you directly contacting clients and taking care of inbound leads which are provided to us through the Web, our Retail Business Banking colleagues and SME Relationship Managers. You'll be required to discuss a full range of Merchant Services options to allow businesses to take payments across multiple platforms.
