- Assist the MD, Directors and VPs drive / undertake qualification, analysis, structuring, negotiation, closing and monitoring of fund finance loans that meet RBCs risk/return parameters on a stand-alone basis, and support the broader client relationship goals including supporting and promoting the cross sell of RBCs non-lending products.
- Assist with the initiation and development of new target client relationships in line with RBC strategy and business goals.
- Assist revenue & profitability growth of Fund Finance platform & contain / restrict credit losses.
- Undertake research, modelling and preparation of transaction papers.
- Present, explain, and support transactions in preparation for Business and Risk committees.
- Continue post-close lending relationship management and loan monitoring, to ensure credit risk is addressed early and proactively.
- Assist with the management/ monitoring of the loan portfolio to ensure product revenues are accurately tracked by client.
- Assist preparation of detailed client strategies, sized appropriately to Single Name risk and profile.
- Work to prevent, detect, mitigate and eliminate potential for risk and liability to RBC.
- Escalate operational and credit risk events immediately to MD and GRM.
- Assist preparation of marketing pitch books and related materials for the MD & Directors ensuring best in class content / standards.
- Help develop and maintain a library of marketing materials for both the fund finance product set as well as ancillary products which may be meaningful to broader business case propositions.
- Work closely with internal partners including Law Group, GRM, GLA, CTM, KYC, Treasury, Finance, Corporate Banking and GIB sponsor coverage, Global Markets (RSG), CFG and product / sector teams.
- From time to time, prepare ad hoc reports for the MD, GRM, Town Halls.
- Undertake investor analysis and ensure investor database is updated regularly.

- An understanding of the private capital market, key players, strategic dynamics, and current issues facing the sector.
- Degree educated or equivalent

The incumbent will work closely with the MD, Directors and VPs in regards the collation, analysis and reporting (including presentations) of client and portfolio performance. As part of a broader team, the incumbent will be accountable for meeting established targets of the Fund Finance team, particularly the ongoing management of credit and operational risk.
