      About the role

      Job Summary:

      We are seeking a diligent and analytical individual to join our team as a Strategic Field Operations Data Analyst. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting field data to provide valuable business insights and recommendations that will support strategic decision making, optimize sales operations and enhance business performance across the different AZ brands. This role will help improve efficiency and accuracy of related upstream and downstream processes and will be responsible for the development of such improvements. The role requires strong analytical skills, experience with AWS Databricks, Python & PySpark and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.       Key Responsibilities:

      • Gather, extract, analyze and interpret field data from different sources to develop business insights

      • Create various types of reports and visualizations to identify trends, patterns and key performance indicators related to business activities: sales, marketing, operations, and other processes

      • Design and develop standardized and ad hoc reports, dashboards, and visualizations for business collaborators

      • Provide recommendations based on data analysis to optimize sales and marketing strategies and effectiveness of field teams

      • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement data-driven solutions

      • Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to track key metrics related to field Operations

      • Ensure data accuracy and completeness by performing regular data audits and reconciliations

      • Identify and communicate opportunities for process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy of business processes

      • Write and complete queries upon request for data, and continuously improve performance and reliability of reports.

      Qualifications:

      • Bachelor's degree in data analytics, business, or related field

      • Minimum of 2 years of experience in data analysis. Experience with Pharma marketing a plus

      • Experience with AWS Databricks, PySpark, Python & SQL is required.

      • CRT020: Databricks Certified Associate Developer for Apache Spark 2.4 with Python 3 Certification is required.

      • Experience in Report building using VBA automation is required

      • Experience with Xponent, DDD, SP&SD data is a plus

      • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze and interpret complex data sets, conduct quality checks and validations and build dynamic dashboards as business tools / assets in Excel, PowerBI, VBA Microsoft Office

      • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify patterns and trends in data

      • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

      • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams

      • Knowledge of industry regulations and guidelines related to field reporting is a plus

      • Ability to derive, summarize and communicate insights from analyses.

      • Organization and time management skills.

      Candidate should have a desirable level of proficiency in syndicated and custom, primary and secondary data, with inferential analysis and ability to identify insights from data.

      In addition to strong analytical skills, should have excellent communication skills with a demonstrated track record of effective business partnership as demonstrated by material business impact and influencing.

      The candidate will also be required to continuously evaluate new quantitative analysis methods and technologies.

      Additional Responsibilities:

      • Develop a deep understanding of internal customers' data and analytical needs focusing on the customer-facing model leadership

      • Champion the use of local customer insight in strategic and resourcing decisions across the business

      • Collaborate with the US Sales Force Operations to ensure success of key business processes and coordination on joint initiatives

      • Identify and prioritize enhancements and new analytic capabilities. Can lead the development, deployment, and embedding of such capabilities across the organization

      • Instills a culture of continuous improvement, testing, and deployment of new capabilities for the business

      • Develop innovative analytical practices to create and sustain competitive advantage

      • Access appropriate information via a variety of tools and sources

      • Summarize and present findings through various communication channels

      • Capability in applying deeper technical skills and knowledge that is shared across the functional area (e.g., deep knowledge of key data sets, modeling capabilities, etc.)

      • Demonstrate a high level of understanding of the points of integration of our work and that of our colleagues

      • Monitors the external environment to stay up to date on leading analytic capabilities, both within and outside of pharma, which can be applied within the organization.

      Desirable

      • Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a significant number of business stakeholders and cross-functional business partners

      • Strong communication and influencing skills with demonstrated ability to develop and effectively present succinct, compelling reviews of independently developed analyses infused with insight and business implications/actions to be considered

      • Strategic and critical thinking with the ability to engage, build and maintain credibility with Commercial Leadership Team

      • Knowledge of AZ brand and science is highly desirable

      • Should have excellent analytical, problem solving ability. Should be able to grasp new concepts quickly
