      The Interface Reconciliation team is seeking a highly motivated Accounting Associate to be a part of the Controller organization’s transformative journey towards becoming trusted and valued business partners delivering Financial Results in an entirely new way through best-in-class people, processes, and innovation.

      Job Duties / Accountabilities

      Support the financial results close process to ensure accurate, complete, and timely results through:

      • Completion of various interface reconciliations
      • Analyze transactions in customer sub ledgers (NM1, NIBS, CBSS, PeopleSoft, etc.)
      • Partner with various business stakeholders to understand the processes generating accounting transactions
      • Preparation of journal entries (JESS) in SAP P50
      • Adherence to internal control and audit requirements
      • Perform validation and reconciliation of General Ledger inputs and balances
      • Daily preparation of internal reporting
      • Participate in identifying areas of potential improvements in existing processes and assist in the implementation of changes that lead to increased efficiency and effectiveness of processes
      • Support internal and external parties (Amdocs and CGI) by providing information and explanations to aid in understanding and interpreting transactional process, data, and reporting. Investigating anomalies and resolving issues on a timely basis
      • Learn and leverage the use of technology in transactional processes to improve quality and efficiency
      • Provide analysis and explanations to support financial reporting information
      • Working as a team player and contribute to a positive work environment. Ability to collaborate, build relationships, and engage with cross-functional teams and management levels. Comfortable working with different levels of the organization

      Essential Qualifications / Competencies

      • Working knowledge of billing environments (NM1, NIBS, CBSS, PeopleSoft, etc.)
      • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications including Excel and Word (Intermediate)
      • Ability to learn and use new technology and tools
      • Ability to independently investigate and resolve process errors
      • Ability to work in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment
      • Knowledge of English oral and written without any significant limitation. In the course of their duties, this person will be required to interact with French & English speaking stakeholders across Canada

      Preferred Qualifications / Competencies

      • Working knowledge of SAP and transaction processes
      • A degree or diploma in accounting/finance and/or business/commerce
      • Prior experience in a finance/accounting role or similar transaction process role
      • Strong data management and investigative experience
      • Strong organizational skills, able to execute on priorities
      • Experience in process documentation

      Working Conditions

      • Business hours: Monday to Friday

      Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
