What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Research laws and prepare legal briefs, opinions, and memoranda
- Render opinions on liability, damages, and value as requested by the Claims Department
- Prepare and handle pleadings, motions, and discovery, including depositions/examinations before trial and examinations under oath
- Defend assigned matters by trial or dispositive hearing as applicable
- Document files in a clear, concise, professional manner for various stakeholders

What is Required (Qualifications):
- 2-6+ years of experience in related field litigation, particularly in insurance defense and/or personal injury
- Juris Doctor degree REQUIRED
- Admission to the Texas Bar REQUIRED
- Must be licensed in good standing to practice law in Texas and meet ongoing licensing requirements, including CLE
- Must be able to travel as required for trials, hearings, and conferences

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in civil litigation
- Insurance defense-related litigation experience
- Strong professional communication skills in person, via telephone, and through written correspondence/email
