What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Conduct pre-trade analysis and modeling for derivatives
- Execute and manage trades across rate, equity, credit, and FX asset classes
- Perform position reporting and ad-hoc risk analysis
- Monitor risk, positions, and P&L while providing trade recommendations
- Offer weekly market commentary to senior management
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a derivatives trading and analysis role within an insurance company or asset management firm
- Strong attention to detail with best practice trade execution capabilities
- Ability to manage multiple trade requests in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and VBA, with familiarity in trading technology (Bloomberg, Aladdin, TradeWeb)
- Direct experience with index-linked insurance products and hedging programs is a plus
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Programming skills in Python, Java, C++, or R
- Strong quantitative skills and a solid understanding of derivatives markets
