- Own insights generation, market research, and secondary data analytics for the assigned brand verticals:
- Patient market research and patient secondary data analytics;
- Thought Leader market research and secondary data analytics;
- Competitive Intelligence;
- Assigned verticals may evolve as brand priorities evolve;
- Develop and integrate insights from primary research, secondary data analyses with learnings from the broader analytical ecosystem (eg digital analytics, advanced analytics, etc.) for business impact;
- Co-lead, collaborate, and provide strategic input for the Global projects with the US footprint, within the assigned brand verticals;
- Design, implement, and monitor key performance indicators for the assigned brand verticals, in coordination with the Ecosystem and brand stakeholders;
- Support development of research and analytics innovation;
- Track and manage projects financials (e.g. budgeting and approvals);
- Serve as the compliance steward (e.g. Market Research Content Factory entries, compliance with market research adverse events reporting, etc.);
- Business planning: Collaborate with the Director, Insights and Analytics on the preparation of the annual Situation Analysis, on providing input into Brand Plan, and on creating annual market research & secondary analyses plan;
- Responsible for providing input into and delivering management presentations, in close collaboration with the Director, Insights & Analytics;
- Integrate primary research, secondary data analyses, and competitive intelligence to derive business insights;
- Manage vendors and contractor(s);
- The primary location for this role is Whippany, NJ. This is a hybrid role with Mondays and Fridays home-based and Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday based in the Whippany, NJ office. Qualified candidates must be commutable to the Whippany, NJ area. Relocation may be offered for this role.

- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Business, Marketing, Management or a related field;
- Significant and relevant full-time work experience, including relevant experience in pharma insights and analytics (primary research, secondary data analyses, vendor management, etc.);
- Strong knowledge of the US Healthcare environment, especially as pertaining to patient behavior and attitudes;
- Deep experience designing and executing primary market research, especially in the patient space;
- Experience with Competitive Intelligence management;
- Strong skills in projects management, PowerPoint, and Excel;
- Solid knowledge of secondary data audits (e.g. IQVIA data audits, digital data audits etc.);
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, as demonstrable in oral management presentations, succinct PowerPoint stories and layout, as well as structured syntheses and recommendations. Ability to draw integrated insights from research and data analysis;
- Flexible, adaptable, collaborative, analytically curious, and willing to learn;
- Record of professional success, demonstrated through above-average performance reviews, promotions, and relevant "extracurricular" activities/engagements;
- MBA or PhD in a related field;
- 8+ years of overall full-time work experience, of which 5+ years of relevant experience in pharma insights and analytics (primary research, secondary data analyses, vendor management, etc.) ;
- Strong knowledge of the US Healthcare environment, especially as pertaining to patient behavior and attitudes as well as thought leaders behavior and attitudes;
- Deep experience designing and executing primary market research AND secondary data analyses;
- Working knowledge of digital landscape and digital analytics;
- Cardiovascular, diabetes, and/or renal therapeutic area experience.

Associate Director, Business Insights & Analytics
The Associate Director, Insights & Analytics is responsible for generating and curating critical customer and business insights to provide competitive advantage and support high quality decisions critical to the business. This role drives and owns accuracy of primary market research and secondary data analyses by overseeing multiple vendors and leveraging best practices, innovative / recognized tools and methodologies, and working with multiple stakeholders to accelerate brand growth. The role also serves as a trusted business advisor who provides input to guide strategy by proactively addressing and translating business needs into tangible measurements and meaningful research. This role reports to the Executive Director, Insights & Analytics.
