      IT powers our company to save and improve lives. Within our company's IT, the IT Strategy Realization team’s purpose is to lead value-driven outcomes and accelerate how we transform IT. ITSR does this by delivering on six core capabilities: IT Strategy, IT Value Management, IT Product Management, Talent Enablement, IT Communications & Change Management, and IT Continuous Improvement.

      The Business of IT drives integrated capabilities that enable IT to optimize the way we deliver business value. As our IT organization focuses on transforming, we need to ensure our business processes are aligned to and support these goals. There are many capabilities required to run IT which must be better defined, aligned, and enabled with supporting technology, such as investment and portfolio management, finance, resource planning and IT master data management.

      The Associate Director of BIT Program Enablement plays a critical role in supporting the Business of IT program at our company. This position reports to the Business of IT Director and is responsible for overseeing the successful execution of the program. The Associate Director serves as a Release Train Engineer and Program Manager, ensuring effective delivery and alignment with IT Strategy Realization goals. Approximately 10% travel is required for this role.

      A partial list of responsibilities includes the following:

      • Work closely with the BIT Director to define program objectives, priorities, roadmaps, and resource allocation and facilitate routine program planning.

      • Coordinate and align various initiatives within the BIT program, ensuring smooth program execution in the context of the product model.

      • Serve as a Release Train Engineer (or similar role), a key role in Agile (e.g., SAFe) frameworks to facilitate the effective coordination and integration of program increments across teams, following the product model approach.

      • Collaborate with product managers, scrum masters, and development teams to plan and execute program increments.

      • Ensure the release train stays on track by managing dependencies, resolving impediments, and promoting continuous improvement.

      • Facilitate the development of program plans, schedules, and budgets.

      • Monitor program progress, ensuring timely delivery of outcomes.

      • Proactively identify and manage risks, issues, and changes.

      • Collaborate with product and portfolio managers to align program activities with the overall product strategy.

      • Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels and engage with product owners, business sponsors, and executive leadership to align program goals with the overall product strategy and company objectives.

      • Proactively communicate program updates, risks, and dependencies to stakeholders, fostering collaboration, alignment, and buy-in.

      • Drive continuous improvement in program delivery and execution within the product model context and identify opportunities to optimize processes, enhance efficiency, and ensure high-quality program outcomes.

      • Encourage a culture of learning and innovation within the program team.

      • Leverage feedback from stakeholders and retrospectives to drive improvements and ensure the program's continuous evolution.

      Travel will be required (~10%).

      Education Minimum Requirement:

      • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.

      Required Experience and Skills:

      • Minimum of 8 years of experience in program management, release train engineering, or a similar role.

      • Strong understanding of IT strategy realization and delivery methodologies, particularly Agile and SAFe frameworks.

      • Experience managing programs within a product model framework.

      • Results-orientation with the proven ability for developing plans and implementing them successfully.

      • Proven experience in successfully leading and delivering complex IT programs.

      • Excellent team management skills, with the ability to influence and drive outcomes in a matrixed organization.

      • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with diverse stakeholders across levels, geographies, and functions.

      • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills – able to effectively communicate complex concepts in simple ways to various stakeholder groups.

      • Strong and structured problem-solving abilities.

      • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, challenging, and changing environment.

      Preferred Experience and Skills:

      • Understanding of Organizational Change Management principles and their integration with program delivery.

      • Clear understanding of technology and architectural decisions and the impact of certain technology decisions to program expectations and timelines.

      • Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering large-scale IT transformation programs or portfolios.

      • Self-directed, self-motivated, focused professional who with little direction can fill in the gaps as to what is needed, and drive expected results.

      • Certification in program or project management methodologies (e.g., PMP, Agile, Scrum).

Final determinations with respect to salary will take into account a number of factors, which may include, but not be limited to the primary work location and the chosen candidate’s relevant skills, experience, and education.

      Expected salary range:

      $130,960 - $206,200
