      JOB TITLE: Associate Director, Cardnet, CB Intermediaries

      SALARY: £72,081 - £80,090

      LOCATIONS: Nationwide (UK based)

      HOURS: Full-Time

      WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites

      Fantastic new opportunity for a Card/Merchant Acquiring Relationship expert to join our Intermediaries team!

      About This Opportunity

      Lloyds Bank Cardnet is a card payment acceptance service that can be tailored to suit the way the business operates by offering flexible solutions tailored to specific needs for face-to-face, over the phone and online payments.

      The Intermediaries team is responsible for onboarding and supporting both new and existing clients via various intermediaries such as brokerages and trade associations across products including Term Lending, Invoice Finance, Asset Finance and Merchant Acquiring.

      The Associate Director reports to the Head of Cardnet and Asset Finance Intermediaries and will be within a team focusing on merchant acquiring.

      You’ll be responsible for:

      • Developing marketing plans with Introducers – events, social media campaigns, client events

      • Carrying out pricing reviews

      • Review performance against agreed business targets – agreeing actions where performance below required levels

      • Risk reviews – ensuring annual due diligence completed

      • Sending out reports to key partners – such as commission reports and pipeline reports

      • Being the main point of contact for the account & their members

      • Conducting monthly account planning sessions & reviews

      • Identify possible cross sale opportunities for the wider intermediaries team

      • Ongoing training on products and services. Providing Cardnet colleagues training around our introducers to ensure great client experience & compliance guidelines met

      • Identify and build relationships with new introducers/ buying groups/ trade associations. This will include:

      • Researching new prospects via various channels, e.g. LinkedIn / Websites / Internal LBG team members – with a view to building an active pipeline

      • Completing the onboarding process, through Legal, Credit & Risk (AML)

      • Negotiate & set pricing for the introducer – working with the Pricing team to ensure the required rate of return is achieved

      • Support & respond to tender requests

      What You’ll Need

      Experience & Knowledge:

      • Knowledge of card acquiring

      • Solid understanding of acquiring schemes, their drivers, industry dynamics, interchange, and future product service results

      • Knowledge of relevant third-party suppliers (e.g. technology) and partners

      • Expert partner management skills - Ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels with internal and external partners

      • Demonstrable success in negotiating

      • A client development / business development background

      • Recommends ways to improve support for operations by changing policies, processes, standards, and practices

      (Specialist product and industry will be provided where appropriate for the right candidate that can demonstrate the required appetite and strive to be successful in the role)
