      JOB TITLE: Associate Director, Trade and Working Capital

      LOCATION: London

      HOURS: Full time - 35 hours per week.

      WORKING PATTERN: Hybrid, 40% (or two days) in an office site

      The Corporate Trade and Working Capital (TWC) sales team is a cross-sector product team providing our CIB clients with working capital solutions across traditional trade, open account (including receivables, payables, invoice finance and asset backed lending), structured trade and commodity finance and asset finance.

      You'll generate both growth within the portfolio alongside identifying new opportunities across all trade products. You'll have an allocated client portfolio alongside direct sales goals to meet our ambition of significantly increasing the size of our business. This role will form a key connectivity between CIC Coverage, the STEM (Structuring, Transaction Execution and Management) team, Trade Product and Trade Services.

      Your accountabilities will include:

      · Define the sales strategy and business plans for allocated portfolio and secure strategic internal support from partners to identify and satisfy customer needs in the most appropriate way.

      · Meeting Group risk and profitability requirements to deliver targeted growth in the TWC business in terms of Income and Assets.

      · Actively maintain product relationships within the portfolio of existing and agreed target clients.

      · Identify customer needs to develop, structure and review proposals to meet customer requirements. Recognise opportunities to develop further income and economic profit, recommending and implementing appropriate solutions.

      · Maintaining a full understanding of our product sets including but not limited to traditional trade, open account (including receivables, payables, invoice finance and asset backed lending), structured trade and commodity finance and asset finance.

      · Prepare and submit credit applications in conjunction with Coverage and STEM Teams, aligned with defined strategy and engage with colleagues in Product, Delivery, Lending Execution and Risk as appropriate.

      · Develop, implement and execute client sales and product relationship calling plans, with the ability to confidently discuss technical and operational aspects of transactions.

      · Identify product gaps or new product opportunities to influence the development of key new product service initiatives and more efficient delivery channels.

      What you’ll need

      · Technical understanding of Trade and Working Capital products.

      · Experience at managing, originating and providing solutions to Large Corporate clients (defined as >£500m annual turnover).

      · Shown success in Trade Sales and Business Development.
