      Introduction to role:
      The Associate Director - Data & AI Architect will work closely with Business Product Owners, Business Technology Groups, Data Scientists, Information Architects, and Data and AI Engineers. This role will be accountable for the architecture and design across the operational and analytical systems within the Enterprise Data and AI domain, ensuring a holistic Business, Application, Information, and Infrastructure architecture for Data and AI solutions and services.

      Accountabilities:
      As an Associate Director - Data & AI Architect, you will analyze business Data and AI priorities, strategies, and requirements, translating these into reusable architecture artifacts for the enterprise. You will prepare or review architectural solutions and patterns defined within architecture blueprints and roadmaps. Acting as an authority to the architecture community and the business regarding current architecture decisions for Data & AI, you will define how data will be stored, consumed, integrated, and managed by different data entities and IT systems, as well as any applications using or processing that data in some way. Additionally, you will provide oversight for engineering activity and transition to service for data build, reporting & analytics build, and initial point of contact for Data & AI architecture queries/change requests.

      Essential Skills/Experience:
      - Bachelor's Degree or equivalent number of years of experience in a Computer Science or Data Management related field
      - The role holder will possess a blend of data architecture, AI architecture, data analysis, and engineering skills
      - Extensive experience and knowledge of Data & AI solutions
      - Able to contribute to Data & AI strategic vision and planning
      - Experience in known industry architectural patterns and reference architectures
      - Understands cloud-based containerization strategies for hybrid cloud environments
      - Understanding the appropriate data structure and technology based on business use case
      - Experience in the use of data modeling technologies
      - Experience in the use of metadata cataloguing tools
      - Experience in Agile data definition scrums

      Desirable Skills/Experience:
      - Post-graduate degree in MIS, Data Management
      - Extensive experience in a data architect role with practical examples of designing and providing data engineering blueprints that have been pragmatically and actually implemented
