      Associate Director, Enablement & Data Insights

      Location: Gaithersburg, MD or Barcelona, Spain

As an Associate Director, Enablement & Data Insights, you will operationally support GPPM’s premier portfolio visualization tool (Portfolio Control Tower) and manage the implementation of innovative improvements that enable key data insights in support of a variety of customers.

      Accountabilities:

      In this role, you will provide business-as-usual support for the use and operations of Portfolio Control Tower (PCT). You will develop and support PCT analytics for both ad hoc requests as well as supporting the use and understanding of core operational reports. You will also collaborate with key customer groups to identify and prioritize opportunities to maximize the value of core GPPM data. Your role will also involve improving accessibility of data through the development and evolution of reports and tools, enabling self-service insights, and analyzing project and portfolio data to proactively identify issues and challenges.

      Essential Skills/Experience:

      • Bachelor’s degree in business and or/sciences
      • 5-7 years experience of managing, designing, and delivering business reporting solutions using different analytical tools (preferably Power BI, Report Builder, Spotfire, Business Objects) to provide actionable insight for the business
      • Demonstrable experience in leading business change initiatives, process & system improvements
      • Strong analytical skills to effectively create recommendations, influence decision-making, assess impacts, compare solutions, problem solve, and achieve business and/or technical objectives
      • Knowledge of the wider Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps)
      • Programming and databases languages like VBA, SQL, and Python
      • Strong understanding of data modelling, databases, and data warehouse concepts
      • Experience working in the pharma industry and thorough knowledge of the pharmaceutical drug development process
      • Knowledge of Planisware or equivalent PPM tools
      • Experience of effective working in a multi-cultural team
      • Exceptional customer focus/engagement/stakeholder management skills
      • Proven leadership skills and flexibility to react to different customer needs for data/information
      • Excellent communication and presentation skills with ability to communicate at senior level (verbally and written)
