      GPIT Associate Director

      We are seeking an Associate Director to join the Foundation in its mission of benefitting, supporting, and enhancing the California Community Colleges—the largest and most diverse system of higher education in the nation.       What You’ll Do

      The Guided Pathways Implementation Team is made up of 18 Guided Pathways (GP) Regional Coordinators, 3 Associate Directors, 2 program specialists and the department’s Director, working together to provide support and thought partnership to California’s community college system in their implementation of Guided Pathways as a framework for achieving the Chancellor’s Vision 2030.

      Guided Pathways Regional Coordinators curate and contextualize information and resources for the field, build relationships and capacity, and support colleges in the implementation of equity centered, human focused design by providing direct support to colleges, collaborating with Chancellor’s Office or Foundation CCC staff and key partners.

      As the Associate Director within the Guided Pathways Implementation Team (GPIT), you will play a pivotal role in leading a meta-regional team of GP Regional Coordinators, contributing to the realization of the Chancellor’s Vision 2030 action plan using the Guided Pathways framework. This position involves providing human-centered leadership, fostering equity, and serving as a liaison between the Chancellor’s Office and the GPIT Metaregion. Additionally, you will engage directly with colleges and key partners to collaboratively work towards transforming the student experience.

      • Provide technical assistance to community college practitioners and partners, facilitating activities such as action planning, network building, site visits, consultations, and events related to Guided Pathways inquiry, design, and implementation.
      • Attend and actively participate in meetings with community colleges, partner organizations, and public agencies to build organizational relationships and advance the Chancellor’s Vision 2030.
      • Demonstrate initiative and creativity in developing and delivering dynamic presentations and professional development for various audiences, including high-level leadership, faculty, administrators, professional staff, industry partners, and others.
      • Develop and lead professional communities of practice to enhance knowledge sharing and improve service to students.
      • Present documentation, research findings, and best practices at statewide conferences with community college and/or partners.
      • Regularly update and maintain Salesforce CRM with field notes, college reports, and documentation to inform decision-making in deploying resources and support to colleges for Guided Pathways.
      • Collaborate with the Guided Pathways leadership team to support organizational development and contribute to ongoing process improvements.
      • Contribute to policy development and work related to key educational reforms and initiatives, providing liaison and communications back to the Guided Pathways leadership team.
      • Manage Guided Pathways operations in the assigned regional area, serving as a resource for teams and actively seeking opportunities and innovations to scale work in the region.

      • Knowledge and substantial experience working with education and workforce development partners in the assigned region.
      • Ability to work remotely and navigate various technology platforms (Zoom, MS Office Suite-Teams, Outlook, Salesforce Lightning and other database programs, Google Suite, etc.)

      Budgeted Annual Salary Pay Range:

      Final salary and rates are based on education, experience, skills relevant to the role, and internal equity.
