      Overview

      This role sits within GBS and business partnering the Pepsi Lipton Joint Venture between PepsiCo and Unilever. As a company in its own right, the joint venture has its own board of directors. Whilst in constant contact with its parent companies, it runs as a separate entity on a day to day basis. All the employees come from and maintain their contract with one of the 2 parent companies, and in this role you are given a unique perspective as you gain access to both.

      As a global company the variation in countries, bottlers and manufacturing sites makes this a very exciting place to work. We have 5 regional organisations operating across North America, Europe, Latin America, AMSEA, NASEA and we are constantly breaking new ground with launches into white markets.

      Working in the joint venture is one of the few opportunities to work in a small, entrepreneurial company within a larger framework of Unilever and PepsiCo. You will have the opportunity to work across many areas of the marketing agenda and make a direct impact on the global business.

      Ice tea is a growth opportunity in LRB, under developed and is fast-evolving and many new players have recently been tapping into the potential of ice tea as a healthier beverage vs soft drinks. In parallel, small brands have been capturing emerging trends (premium, functional benefits, experimental etc) and elevated expectations around the category.

      This is a strategic role to elevate and deliver impact of existing HBS Insights and Analytics model to meet JV’s ever evolving business priorities . As the HBS Insights & Analytics team lead, this person will be leading the evolution and delivery of program along with a 12 member team for the JV, integrated amongst an Insights organsation of 28) and therefore will need to have an extensive all round insights experience on market data/retail analytics, consumer insights and team management.


      Responsibilities

      1. Business Partnership to deliver Insights and Analytics program for Pepsi Lipton in line with business needs
        • Leadership of JV strategic projects, eg category growth modelling, horizon planning, competitive intelligence,
        • End to End delivery of business performance scorecards & adhoc day to day analytics
        • Identify transformational and efficiency opportunities for data democratization
        • Lead business partnership to delivera well rounded and integrated insights on strategic briefs during planning cycles
        • Work closely with JV’s Global Marketing, Finance and Strategy team on commercial agenda for the JV
      2. Lead Design and Overall capability roadmap for Insights and Analytics
        • Work with JV’s Insights Leadership to build and evolve roadmap for Insights and Analytics with new capabilities unlock as Horizon 1/2/3 deliverables
        • Collaborate with PepsiCo HBS/Global capabilities teams to bring in best in class practices and build scalable capabilities
        • Ensuring best tools and technology are applied to team toolkit to enable business deliver, eg powerBi, NRM, 3rd party partnerships for analytical projects (incremenatilty, MMM, price elasticity)
      3. People Leadership to deliver the program
        • Lead a team of 12 associates to manage their performance, learning & development needs, career growth
        • Spot opportunities for further developing the organization inorder to contunously upgrade the GBS capability for JV needs
        • Mentor and guide the team to deliver operational excellence and business partnership on insights & analytics


      Qualifications

      • Strong leadership, organizational and interpersonal skills. Comfortable managing trade-offs and resolving conflict.
      • Experience managing a culturally diverse senior stakeholder group.
      • Strong Business partnership acumen. Able to work within a matrix organization and manage multiple stakeholders
      • Experience at managing multi-country / functional projects.
      • Excellent analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
      • Strong knowledge of insights and analytics from CPG client side or agency side - Nielsen Retail/IRI, Kantar Consumer Panel/Brand Equity tracking
      • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, along with the ability to influence and demonstrate confidence in communications with senior level management
      • Strong project management skills; track record of overseeing a portfolio of transformation projects
      • Self-motivated/self-starter and demonstrates enterprenuer mindset.
      • Solid presentational skills.
      • Ability to travel up to 10% of time to meet business partner
