      Join us at AstraZeneca as an Associate Director Manufacturing at our cell therapy facility in Rockville, Maryland, the newest addition to our global supply network. We aim to make a direct impact on patients by delivering life-saving cell therapies. This is your chance to break new ground and leave a collective legacy!       What you will do:

      • M anage operations related to the production of cell therapy products, ensuring adherence to the current Code of the Federal Regulations (CFR’s) and Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP’s).

      • M anage production operations with an emphasis on quality, safety, and delivery of cell therapies to supply plan.

      • I nvestigat e and resolv e problems, identify and implement process improvements, and manag e the training and development of personnel.

      Minimum Qualifications:

      • Minimum BS/BA degree required in biological sciences , engineering, or biotechnology/life sciences

      • Minimum 7 years of work experience in clinical or commercial biologics or cell therapy manufactur ing under cGMP.

      • Knowledgeable of the current Code of the Federal Regulations (CFR’s) and Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP’s)

      • Sufficient understanding of processes, systems, and equipment to troubleshoot problems and provide solutions to senior management

      • Expert knowledge of electronic quality systems

      • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exist

      • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form

      • Good communication skills, effective collaborator, etc ]

      • Strong leadership skills

      • Excellent communication skills

      Preferred Qualifications:

      • Experience in autologous cell therapy manufacturing

      • Minimum 5 years prior supervisory or management experience preferred.
