What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Direct the planning and execution of systematic literature reviews to ensure timely delivery of high-quality documentation
- Develop and maintain procedures, best practices, and quality control measures for medical writing activities
- Manage Medical Writing staff and provide strategic oversight for compliant literature service execution
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on literature search and systematic review processes
- Track key performance indicators and report on metrics for continuous improvement
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree required; Advanced Degree strongly preferred
- Minimum 7 years of related medical writing experience with at least 3 years in a leadership role
- Experience in the medical device industry and familiarity with clinical evaluation report regulatory requirements
- Demonstrated knowledge of systematic literature reviews and clinical research methodologies
- Change management expertise required
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Certification or 2+ years of project management experience
- Experience developing literature search/reporting systems and knowledge of automation opportunities
- Familiarity with complaint handling, adverse event reporting, and risk management processes
- Knowledge of evidence generation strategies and regulatory audit experience
- Budgetary and financial planning experience
