      POSITION SUMMARY

      The Associate Director will assist the director in day-to-day operations of the department to include oversight of students, support of faculty and teaching as needed. Will assist with oversight of the evening program. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned

      Qualifications

      POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

      MINIMUM EDUCATION: Master’s Degree in Nursing
      PREFERRED EDUCATION: PhD in Nursing, Education or Nursing Science
      MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 3 years teaching experience in a school of professional nursing. Competence in clinical practice area.
      PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Experience teaching via distance learning and/or on-line; progressive management experience.
      REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Possession of current Texas State registration
      PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE:
      REQUIRED COURSES/ COMPLETIONS (e.g., CPR): NA
