- Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training.
- 6 - 10 years of related experience.
- Experience with budgeting, annual and multi-year, forecasting, and rate development.
- Experience with using on-line financial systems and data warehouses.
- Previous supervisory/managerial experience.
- Experience with general ledger review and certification.
- Demonstrated experience with UCR financial systems.
- Experience working in a higher education environment.
- Employment and/or continued employment is contingent on a satisfactory background check.
- Exercise the utmost discretion in managing sensitive information learned in the course of performing their duties.
- Travel may be required, including outside of normal business hours.
- Extensive knowledge of finance policies, practices and systems, budgeting and reporting techniques, accounting and bookkeeping.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Extensive knowledge of human resource policies, practices, and planning.
- Client services oriented, has good listening, communication, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
- Proven ability to deal with changing priorities and direct the work of others accordingly.

Position Information:
UC Riverside's Auxiliary Services is recruiting for Associate Director of Finance. The full salary range for the Associate Director of Finance is $90,400 - $169,000 annually. However, the expected pay scale for this position is up to $130,000 annually. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.
Under the general direction of the Senior Director of Auxiliary Finance & Business Operations, the Associate Director of Finance acts as a technical leader with a high degree of knowledge and directly manages a portfolio, as well as, leads a team of Analysts in the field of financial services and financial analysis. This position supports the Senior Director and may act as a lead supporting the Finance and Business Operations unit. The position will also support all departments within Auxiliary Services and serve in a strategic leadership role to direct and develop fiscal and administrative policies for various business units and formulate long-range plans for existing and new units. The Associate Director is responsible for developing and sustaining strong financial internal controls, financial reconciliations, and timely reporting, balancing budget distribution for staffing, and managing processes for budget review and fiscal close, while overseeing day-to-day operations of the budget and financial operations.
