Implement all communications initiatives for the Graduate College including development and design of marketing and promotional collateral through print, display advertising, direct mail, and digital materials, and special events (3MT, Open House, New Student Orientation, Informational Session, etc.).
Serve as an agency partner and manage workflows with departmental colleagues needing marketing and communications support.
Serve as the Graduate College’s liaison with FAU's colleges/schools/departments, and other campus-based strategic partners as the project manager on the conceptualization, production, and distribution of integrated print and electronic marketing materials, including admissions publications, website, and CRM campaigns.
Develop and a communication plan and updates frequently according to Graduate College, and graduate recruiting needs.
Develop messaging and marketing plans/strategies that target the specific demographics for each area of Graduate College recruitment.
Analyze marketing strategies and campaign’s return on investment, interpret web analytics, and/or research target audiences. Share such reports to the Graduate College leadership and to university administrators as needed.
Collaborate with FAU’s Division of Public Affairs and external marketing firms to optimize marketing and communication strategies.
Work with the Graduate Admissions team to create and manage outreach marketing campaigns and plans targeting prospective students at each stage of the recruitment funnel.
Build strategic engagement with alumni, donors, and community members.
Remain current of trending and innovative technology.
Develop and coordinate the production and dissemination of information pertinent to the Graduate College through various media, including weekly and monthly newsletters, PowerPoint presentations, social media, and website.
Manage the Graduate College presence through various social media channels and maintain content as current via frequent postings of relevant material.
Manage and evaluate college strategic planning efforts related to marketing & communications.
Manage third-party vendors such as printing and digital marketing production companies, designers, and media buyers.
Oversee web management and updates (HTML coding) and development, creating and distributing the Graduate College newsletter and updating the Graduate College’s information in My FAU.
Create and manage current and timely short video segments to promote graduate education at FAU and Graduate College events, etc.
Manage marketing budget.
Aid with general speaking points for the Graduate College’s dean and leadership team.
Manage the Graduate College list serve.
Maintain the Graduate College visual identity guidelines in conjunction with university guidelines.
Serve as the photographer at various events (Graduate College’s events and other selected events).
Oversee marketing student worker, if applicable.
Other job related as assigned.

Position Summary:
Florida Atlantic University is seeking an Associate Director of Marketing and Communications - Boca Raton, FL.
Responsible to the Dean of the Graduate College or appropriate administrator. This position provides marketing leadership and is responsible for developing, executing, and measuring the success of both a comprehensive, integrated short-term and long-term marketing strategy and plan for the Graduate College. The Associate Director will be responsible for the effective and creative utilization of traditional and digital marketing strategies, updating the Graduate College’s website, utilizing social media channels, designing, and creating printed materials, and overseeing means to effectively share information and build engagement with prospective and current students, staff, faculty, alumni, donors, and other community members. Responsible for the internal and external marketing and communication efforts of the Graduate College. Responsible for the overall direction and control of information/publications services, which may include coordinating a program to provide information, data, and timely reports to the public, press, governmental agencies, and other institutions of higher education and/or the writing, editing, proofreading, production, graphic design and release of university and department catalogues, bulletins, programs, and related materials to ensure consistency of style and presentation. Importantly, this position will be responsible for staying current with best practices for copy creation and design, and for critical analysis of response data to better enhance communications with key targets. Marketing goals include growing FAU’s Graduate College brand reputation locally, regionally, and nationally to drive graduate student recruitment.
