- Master’s degree in student affairs, higher education administration or counseling, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in student activities or student conduct is required.
- Understanding and appreciation of the values and traditions of a Catholic Jesuit university and developing students through the guidance of the institution's mission and values.
- Title IX Certified Investigator preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge, appreciation for, and engagement in equity, diversity, and inclusion topics.
- Understanding and demonstrating the application of student development theory.
- Must be organized and communicate promptly and effectively through written and verbal communication.
- Experience working on a college campus in a student conduct setting is strongly preferred.
- Communicate Creighton University’s values and expectations.
- Ability to handle confidential information with the utmost discretion and sensitivity
- Familiarity with federal statutes related to higher education, specifically Campus SaVE, Clery Act, Title IX, FERPA, and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act.
- Ability to take the initiative and carry out detailed work under time constraints
- Strong communication skills

Position Summary:
The Associate Director of Student Life is a 12-month position to promote a learning environment for student success and development. This is often accomplished through individual meetings, interactions, educational programming, and training. This position ensures that all student-facing programming, events, and issues on campus are handled and procedures followed.
This position will also be responsible for student training and will also be involved in offering expertise in various policy and behavioral matters. This position will also respond to student mental health crises on campus and help navigate school procedures and processes.

Essential Functions:
Core Job Duties:
% Duty
35 Oversee day-to-day support for student groups, clubs, and organizations, including but not limited to ensuring that student groups have appropriate documentation. Partner with schools/colleges to promote events for groups and student-run programming. Partner with Student Leadership and Involvement Center to run activities during the academic school year. Partner with Recreation and Wellness to assist students with the utilization of off-campus recreation and wellness options.
20 Serves to respond to student misconduct issues that occur on and off campus. Conduct training and education for faculty, staff, and students—present policy and community standards through orientations, online training, and training by request. Respond to behavioral issues involving mental health crises that occur on campus and help with the facilitation of assisting the student in crisis. Assist students through incidents that involve mental health issues. Serve all students, staff, faculty, residents, and other guests/visitors regarding University Title IX Sexual Harassment Policy (2.1.35) and the Non-Discrimination Police (2.1.25). Conduct interviews with parties, identify and gather evidence, and provide timely communication with all parties involved in an investigation. This includes complaints under Title IX, specifically sexual harassment, sexual assault, dating / domestic violence, and stalking.
15 Responsible for wellness efforts encouraging interdisciplinary and campus-wide interaction and programs. Coordinate and document attendance at relevant training, including but not limited to bystander training, wellness, emergency preparedness, and behavioral expectations.
