      The Associate Director, Pension Technology Risk, is a key member of the Quality and Assurance and Control Team, which is a 1st line of defense risk and control group embedded in Pensions. The primary focus of the role is to identify risks and lead/ coordinate risk mitigation activities for the operating processes in Products & Technology (“P&T”). Your execution experience, and ability to collaborate in an agile development environment is critical to the success of the new role. This role will report directly to the VP, Quality Assurance and Controls and work very closely with P&T.


      As a member of this team, you will be responsible for:

      • Lead risk management processes to identify risk findings, enable control evaluation, recommend solutions, validate remediation plans, facilitate implementation and residual risk acceptance for IT operational processes and evaluating Pension business processes

      • Support the planning and execution of the annual P&T risk program and plan using a risk -based approach

      • Assist control owners with the design of process controls including resolution of audit findings

      • Support and conduct risk assessments when needed

      • Collaborate with Pensions stakeholders and other corporate oversight functions including Compliance & Ethics, Enterprise Operational Risk, and Internal Audit, to identify and help implement consistent and effective approaches to IT risks and control-based activities

      • Establish and cultivate critical business relationships / networking with senior executives

      • Improve awareness of risk management within P&T through formal and informal means

      • Develop reporting, metrics and measurement systems that identify weaknesses in controls

      To succeed in this role, you have:

      • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in relevant discipline (e.g. Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or Business Related Field)

      • 10+ years working in internal audit, consulting, assurance services, or related field, either in professional services or industry

      • Professional Certification such as CPA, CIA, CISA, CISSP, or similar strongly preferred

      • Experience in leading the development and implementation of IT Risk Management frameworks, polices, related processes and controls

      • Understanding of commonly used internal control frameworks, including COBIT, ISO 27001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ITIL, etc

      • Familiarity with leading practices related to IT audit risk assessment

      • Knowledge and interest in technology including topics such as operating systems, software development, networking, and business applications

      • Advanced verbal and written communication skills, including documentation of findings and recommendations

      • Able to work using an agile development approach (understanding of scrum ceremonies like sprints, stand-ups and retrospectives)

      • Proven ability to translate technology topics and audit issues into “business speak” to be understood by executives
