- Users LEAN, DMAIC or other process improvement tools to assess the current state of a process and identify pain points and improvement opportunities. Provides recommendations to Strategic Operations leadership and implements solutions that improve process efficiency.
- Delivers results and raises the bar on efficiency, quality, and compliance.
- Gains in-depth understanding of a process, how the work gets done and process strengths and weaknesses to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Executes transformative initiatives from a roadmap of strategic objectives and business process improvement opportunities.
- Establishes the process strategy, objectives, and long-range roadmap.
- Engages stakeholders across the process to ensure alignment on process and resource priorities; validates the merit and applicability of initiatives across functions.
- Monitors and reports process performance against KPIs and process health vs. plans. Designs and oversees Performance Measurement/Management Plan.
- Actively gathers external benchmarking and best practices as input to process decisions; maintains active knowledge and awareness of all associated regulations.
- Bachelor’s degree, Engineering or MBA preferred.
- LSS/LEAN certification required.
- Proven track record of delivering transforming change in a regulated (GxP) environment.
- Must have 6 years process management experience, preferably in an Operations environment.
- Strong relationship management skills, Emotional Intelligence and communication skills required.
Purpose:
The Associate Director, Process Improvement is accountable for ensuring process stability and delivering on opportunities to continuously improve efficiency and close compliance gaps within AbbVie's Pharmacovigilance & Patient Safety (PPS) organization. This person will establish process strategy, objectives and long-range roadmap with input from key stakeholders (including business and IT); as well as deliver transformative change that delivers measurable improvement.
