      The Associate Director of Strategic Finance, is responsible for leading Nuveen Green Capital’s modeling, valuation, pricing, and strategic / operating finance processes that play a key role in ensuring the growth and profitability of NGC’s platform. This role is at the intersection of commercial real estate, corporate finance, and ESG investing.

      Key Responsibilities and Duties

      • Maintain and develop the financial analysis process and technology to support operations, financial transactions and strategic decision making.
      • Oversee and perform asset pricing and modeling, including coordinating impact and negotiation analysis with FP&A and transaction leaders and supporting acquisitions and divestitures.
      • Coordinate multiple external and internal stakeholders and operate internal models to perform valuation on assets and liabilities; manage expected credit loss analysis.
      • Participate in the performance and modeling of various financial transactions related to Nuveen Green Capital’s Funds, SMAs and other financing vehicles.
      • Manage key profitability maintenance procedures including pre-close and post-close deal analysis and review.
      • Manage relationships with finance vendors, including auditors and valuation services providers.
      • Assist in maintaining and establishing financials controls.
      • Manage various financial transactions and projects.

      Required Qualifications:

      • Minimum of 3+ years of corporate finance, accounting, capital markets or real estate finance experience

      Preferred Qualifications:

      • 5+ years of corporate finance, accounting, capital markets or real estate finance experience
      • Experience building financial models in Excel
      • Comprehensive understanding of a company’s P&L, concepts of leverage, working capital, debt, equity, investment, etc.
      • Comprehensive understanding of key finance concepts, e.g. time value of money, basic pricing and valuation of financial instruments, amortization, effective interest rate, returns calculations
      • Experience working with large datasets in Excel
      • Knowledge and understanding of accounting concepts, including asset sale and acquisition

      Base Pay Range: $92,820/yr. - $154,700/yr.

      Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
