      As an Associate Director Strategy & Market Intelligence for Baxter’s Healthcare Systems & Technology Strategy team, you will advance the portfolio by developing and executing growth strategies for Baxter’s HST portfolio. Key responsibilities include developing strategic perspectives on market dynamics, competitive intelligence, & portfolio optimization. We are seeking a talented individual with a strong strategy and competitive intelligence background and experience in healthcare or medical devices.

      What You'll Be Doing:

      • Support the strategy and execution for Baxter’s Healthcare Systems & Technology business (Front Line Care, Patient Support Solutions, Global Surgical Solutions, & Care Communications)

      • Research the market segments for customer insights, clinical trends and market knowledge to contribute to business development activities and opportunity evaluations.

      • Evaluate market segments globally with advanced analytics, including macro environment trends, pricing, competitive landscape, clinical trends and business drivers in the segment to proactively identify opportunities and pressures to the existing portfolio and pipeline.

      • Support internal management of competitive intelligence resources.

      • Make recommendations regarding growth & optimization of the HST business

      • Develop business cases and financial models to support portfolio expansion efforts.

      • In conjunction with finance, support the strategic planning process and acts as a trusted advisor to the business’s executive leadership and relevant stakeholders during strategy formulation, development, and execution

      • Work with business leadership, executives, senior business development management, and stakeholders across the business to development & advance the overall business strategy

      What You'll Bring:

      • Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy, finance, marketing, business or science/technology required. MBA or post graduate marketing qualification preferred.

      • 5+ years of business experience with at least 2 years of experience in healthcare, life sciences, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, healthcare or medical devices industry.

      • 2+ years management consulting experience desired.

      • Experience with digital healthcare platforms desired.

      • Excellent quantitative and qualitative assessment skills, critical thinking skills, and ability to develop strategic plans and business cases.

      • Ability to facilitate and manage cross-functional teams.

      • Strong presentation and oral communication skills.

      • Strong financial modeling and PowerPoint presentation skills

      • Knowledge of external healthcare business environment

      • Mature, self-aware individual with demonstrated leadership capabilities. Has experience working with and presenting to senior leaders.

      • Comfortable/thrives in ambiguous/rapidly evolving situations managing multiple highly visible projects

      • Ability to “connect the dots” at a macro/micro level and show critical thinking that considers the multiple factors that need to be considered when devising strategies to drive long-term growth

      • Flexibility and ability to travel up to 15% of the time depending on organizational needs

At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $152,000 to $209,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and long-term incentive.
