      The Associate Editor is required to build and manage a portfolio of high level books, in the area of engineering and applied sciences. Key responsibilities include:

      • Build up a scientific network among the applied science and engineering community, with a focus on India and the Asia Pacific region.
      • Plan, acquire, publish, and manage books and other related products.
      • Keep abreast of latest developments in engineering and applied science fields, while focusing on emerging topics as well as interdisciplinary research.
      • Support the acquisitions and development activity of the Engineering and Applied Sciences Books Program to ensure smooth functioning of publishing programs.
      • Providing other logistical and organizational support to the team as needed.


      Requirements

      Education: Science (STEM) background required, at least a bachelor’s degree in the sciences, engineering, or mathematics is essential. Master’s degree preferred but not required. PhD’s with interest in publishing will be considered.

      Experience: Some experience in publishing or related fields preferred. This can be waived for PhD holders or those with a direct background in research.

      Skills: Candidates must have excellent communication skills and command on the English language. In addition, they should be able to present to large audiences, and must have good analytical and networking skills.

      Tools: At least intermediate level expertise in basic MS office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). Some expertise and experience in Social Media management is preferred.

      Travel: Extensive travel required. Candidates must be willing and able to travel extensively. >40% travel requirement.
