  Position Specific Description

  The Associate Engineer in Florida City Gas shall be responsible for the development of various natural gas distribution projects from project development, engineering, permitting all the way through construction.

  Prepare drawings to submit to various municipalities and other governmental agencies such as DOT and other municipalities to facilitate the company’s natural gas expansion programs.

  Perform calculations for meter and regulator sizing under the guidance of a supervisor.

  Development of scope of work, developing bill of materials, ordering materials for various natural gas distribution projects.

  Reviews natural gas system maps using ArcGIS , other underground facilities data, canal and railroad crossings, environmentally sensitive areas, plat and parcel information to come up with the most cost effective designs for new distribution gas main installation in support of Florida City Gas’s Reliability and Infrastructure Improvement programs

  • Assists more experienced engineers in the completion of large complex projects
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned
