- Execute purchases and sales of securities based on instructions from Portfolio Managers and also within defined discretionary guidelines.
- Seek to ensure “best execution” on all trades.
- Provide portfolio managers with ongoing information about market sentiment, trading environment, trading volume and price volatility.
- Develop and maintain relationships with brokers and other market participants.
- Keep up to date with industry and regulatory developments related to equity trading issues.
- Communicate with brokers in a professional manner and maintain good relations with all individuals and/or companies dealing with RBC Bluebay.
- Responsible for working as a member of the trading team and participating in the efficient functioning of the team.
- University degree.
- High proficiency in all Microsoft Office products and sourcing data from external databases.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and keen interest in capital markets and analysis.
- Some industry experience.
- Experience with trading systems, including Bloomberg, Charles River, Triton etc.
- Excellent understanding of factors influencing price trends and equity security exchanges.
- Keep up to date with industry and regulatory developments related to equity trading issues.
- Understanding of the framework for tracking trading costs and algorithmic executions.
- Coding skills.

We are currently looking for an entry level Equity Trader to strengthen our growing Global Equity Trading and Research team based in London. Reporting to the Head of Equity Trading, the Associate Equity Trader will work with the Global Trading and Investment teams to develop and execute equity trading strategies.
