What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Plan, recommend, reserve, and execute the investigation, valuation, disposition, and settlement of large commercial insurance property claims
- Achieve fair, equitable, and timely claim dispositions while assessing indemnity and expense exposure of assigned claims
- Report to a Property Major Case Manager and collaborate within a team environment
- Mentor Associate General Adjusters and Property Damage Adjusters
- Ensure compliance with corporate claim settlement policies and procedures as well as statutory and regulatory requirements
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a full file Claim Adjuster for complex property losses over $300,000 (for General Adjuster) or 3+ years for moderately severe property claims (for Associate General Adjuster)
- Strong functional knowledge of commercial claims and ability to interpret and apply insurance coverage
- College degree or equivalent experience
- Proven high level of performance and achievement throughout career
- Proficiency in cost estimation using Xactimate and knowledge of MS Office (i.e., Excel)
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience managing complex property claims in an insurance setting
- Familiarity with regional jurisdictional issues
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to function independently and self-reliantly
- Availability for nationwide catastrophe operations as necessary
