      As Associate General Counsel you will provide legal support across the full spectrum of Aeronautics’ Programs, including F-35, Integrated Fighter Group (F-16/F-22) and Air Mobility & Maritime Missions C-130J/C-5. Working closely with the program attorneys dedicated to each of these lines of business.

      What You Will Be Doing

      You will be advising program leadership and contracts teams on all aspects of executing their programs and new business, including prime contracts, subcontracts and proposals. You will be responsible for:
      • Negotiating, drafting, and hands-on development of traditional and innovative contractual arrangements. You will work closely with Contracts and Supply Chain Management personnel to develop the appropriate agreements, documentation and strategy to ensure program success.
      • The full spectrum of government and commercial contracting from proposals, bid protests to claims as well as being able to provide advice on data rights and program-related disputes.
      • Supervisory responsibility for outside counsel and will coordinate activities with LM Aero and LM Corporate legal teams.

      Who You Are

      You demonstrate superior judgment and work product for matters of significant complexity, and you have outstanding written and verbal communication skills. You are a self-starter and able to work semi-autonomously and also able to work cooperatively with other program and functional attorneys as well as immediate leadership. You have experience with government contracts, bid protests and claims; experience negotiating aerospace or defense-related contracts is highly desired.

      -Current J.D. degree and licensed to practice law in good standing in the U.S.

      -This position requires 10-15 years of experience as an attorney

      -Experience with US Government Contracts, including FAR and DFARS

      -Experience in Aerospace & Defense Sector

      -Current USG security clearance -Experience working on USG prime contracts

      -Experience with USG, FMS and DCS competitive proposal efforts (domestic and international government contracting)

      -Experience with bid protests and claims
