What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide legal advice and services on issues concerning the rights, obligations, risks, and privileges of the organization
- Collaborate with colleagues across the legal department
- Proactively identify and resolve legal and related matters
- Assist in the review, preparation, and negotiation of various products, documents, and contracts
- Counsel senior management on strategic business initiatives
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Juris Doctorate degree
- License to practice law in the United States
- 4+ years of professional experience as a licensed attorney
- Experience in advising senior leadership on legal matters
- Demonstrated ability to provide timely and responsive legal support for business partners located in multiple time zones
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Relevant legal and regulatory experience in health, law, commercial insurance, Medicaid Managed Care, Dual Special Needs, Medicare, litigation, government bids, provider or health care legal support
- Experience with regulatory agencies and administrative experience with state insurance regulations
- Experience collaborating across a large, matrixed business and legal environment
- Solid understanding of health insurance and/or managed care industry
