What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist in creating basic maps and running templated reports
- Conduct demographic reports and manage data analytics
- Develop introductory knowledge of GIS concepts and tools, including ESRI ArcGIS applications
- Organize and complete assigned tasks within set timeframes
- Learn team processes and solutioning skills under senior member guidance
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geography, surveying, engineering, or a related field
- 0-3 years of experience in GIS or related roles
- Basic understanding of GIS concepts and mapping visualizations
- Introductory knowledge of scripting and coding concepts
- Ability to evaluate data and services assigned by senior members
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Familiarity with ESRI Model Builder, Python, and Javascript
- Experience with Integrated Development Environments (IDEs)
- Knowledge of request intake processes and proprietary systems
- Previous internship or limited role as a GIS analyst
