- Waste Management & Compliance:
- Safely handle, segregate, inventory, and dispose of the following laboratory waste in compliance with all applicable safety, health, and environmental procedures. This includes biohazardous waste, chemical waste (e.g., solvents, reagents), mixed waste, and solid waste (glass, paper, recyclables, etc.)
- Labware & Facility Support:
- Wash laboratory glassware and distribute clean labware across multiple labs
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in communal lab areas and the central supply room
- Laboratory Coordination Group Support:
- Assist LCG personnel with cleaning laboratory equipment as needed (may include receipt and distribution of incoming consumable supply orders, safety and expiration checks, etc.)
- Physical Demands:
- Frequently lift and move items up to 25 pounds
- Occasionally lift and move items up to 55 pounds
- This job will be 100% QPS-office/facility based and includes laboratories located in two adjacent buildings, within walking distance.
- High School Diploma, with scientific coursework or equivalent experience preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted

This part-time, onsite position can work a maximum of 29 hours per week, between the core business hours of 8am – 5pm, Monday to Friday. This position will support the Laboratory Coordination Group (LCG) and help maintain clean, well-stocked, and safe labs in support of the Bioanalytical Department. The incumbent will need to be responsive to the needs of laboratory personnel, work effectively as a team, and pay attention to safety and cleanliness standards to ensure the smooth operation of the facility.
