Job Description

- Maintain system item purchasing attributes and optimize inventory levels by product category through the review of forecasts, safety stocks, MOQ, etc.
- Prepare purchase orders based on the production schedule, safety stock requirements, and inventory goals while minimizing freight and material spend.
- Plan and direct the flow of raw materials into manufacturing.
- Expedite delivery of goods to users, both internal and external.
- Uncover and resolve root causes of supplier issues.
- Lead Supplier Report Card monthly review and elevate concerns as appropriate.
- Execute non-conformance process to ensure appropriate disposition is approved and credit is received.
- Analyze data to determine component order quantity. Must be able to multi-task and be detail oriented.
- Support master schedule by planning production based on customer needs.
- Minimum of 2+ years of relevant Material Planning, Scheduling, and Supply Chain with MRP/ERP experience (or combination of education and experience).
- Good customer service skills including oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent computer skills including MS Office Suite. Advanced Excel required.
- Must be a team player with the ability to think conceptually, flexibly and strategically.
- Two or four-year degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related fields preferred.
- Oracle ERP Planning Experience.
- Experience with QlikView and/or Tableau would be an added bonus.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Job Description
The Associate Materials Planner will interface with suppliers to place orders and ensure the timely delivery of products to our manufacturing site. The successful candidate will own product category throughout the network and will work closely with demand planning, operations, warehouses, and logistics teams; maintain relationships with key stakeholders and report metrics that drive continuous improvement, high fill rates, and a streamlined workflow in a dynamic fast-paced environment. The Planner will support master schedule execution.
Location: This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule based out of Deerfield, IL (3 days in office). Effective mid-2025, Fortune Brands will transition to a new world-class campus in Deerfield, bringing together associates from across our U.S. offices, brands, and functions. Fortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is Hiring Pay Range: $56,000 USD - $84,700 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based sales incentive plan.
