What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide consultative services to underwriters regarding risk selection and assessment for life insurance products
- Review medical cases, offering appraisal of mortality and morbidity risk
- Interpret medical information, including diagnostic tests, to inform underwriting decisions
- Ensure compliance with government regulations related to risk selection
- Collaborate with underwriting leadership on business strategies and best practices
What is Required (Qualifications):
- M.D., D.O., PhD, or RN
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in medical practice
- 1-3 years of experience in Insurance Medicine or similar consultative risk selection experience
- Understanding of actuarial processes, product development, and performance
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
