      ISS STOXX is actively looking for a Research Associate, Market Intelligence to join the Mumbai Team (Goregaon East).

      Overview:

      ISS Market Intelligence Research forms part of the Market Intelligence (MI) division of ISS STOXX.

      MI provides critical data and insights to global asset managers, insurance companies and distributors, to help make informed, strategic decisions to manage and grow their business. Through its combination of proprietary and integrated datasets, in-depth global research and trusted executive engagement, MI delivers solutions for market sizing, competitor benchmarking, product strategy and opportunity identification across a wide range of financial products including funds, annuities, insurance, mortgages, and other instruments. The MI suite of solutions encompasses the industry-leading data platforms: Simfund, BrightScope and Financial Clarity; as well a full collection of global research and analytics services, including Investor Economics, Market Metrics, and Plan for Life.

      Responsibilities:

      The Associate’s research focus will be on creating, leading and supporting the creation of original MI Research with compelling commercial and brand amplification potential. The Associate will be expected to become a domain expert in their area of coverage and lead the team and support MI Research leaders around the world in ideating and executing original research concepts. They may also be required to attend client calls, understand requirements and express their views. Specifically on a day-to-day basis the Associate’s responsibilities could encompass the following:

      • Review industry news and developments with the view to growing and keeping current MI Research research capital in their area of coverage. With the help of analysts, Associate will be responsible for delivering verbal and written research briefs, identifying and synthesizing emerging industry developments and creating client-ready content in a variety of formats , including competitive factsheets, exhibits of industry metrics prepared by analyst or compelling presentations.

      • Coaching and enabling analyst in the ISS MI Mumbai team to excel in their day-to-day tasks

      • Idea generation - Based on the trends compiled by the analyst, keep looking for new product / services ideas relevant for ISS businesses

      • Prepare short briefs on some of these trends and discuss with Consulting / Research leaders

      • Prepare presentations for one-off client engagements – storytelling trends and data

      • Logical thinking (storytelling trend and structuring content in a logical manner).

      • Client stakeholder management - Attend discovery client calls, understand requirements, and even story tell sections of the proposal

      Qualification:

      • A graduate degree from a well-recognized university in economics, finance, commerce, business administration. Other disciplines such as mathematics, statistics or social sciences will be considered in combination with experience.

      • 5-7 years’ experience in the financial services industry (asset or wealth management, banking, life insurance, retirement consulting, strategy consulting). Professional experience working for a global organization and supporting global teams a strong asset.

      • Strong interest in the financial services industry at large and their area of domain expertise in particular. Passion for learning and creating disruptive ideas.

      • Logical thinking (to know how to story tell data and prepare slideware).

      • Ability to deal with ambiguity and meet expectations of the team (quality and deadlines)

      • High attention to detail and data integrity.

      • Well-developed verbal and written communication skills.

      • Strong interpersonal and people management skills.

      • Sense of responsibility for deadlines and deliverables.

      • The flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.

      • Excellent problem-solving skills
