      Job Overview:

      Assist in preparation of material take-off and pre-nesting. Gain experience in the following work areas: Read and understand scope of work / drawings, Knowledge on steel sections and material grades and Knowledge on material control activities. Maintain a filing system for various drawings and documents as directed by the Team Leader. Develop basic technical skills to complete assigned work. Manage own time to meet deliverables / deadlines set. Ensure MTO / MCS deliverables are issued per client specification and Level 2 procedures.

      Qualifications

      Essential Qualifications and Education:

      • Minimum 2 - 3 years of steelwork drafting in Oil and Gas or Onshore with major contractor or consultant
      • High School graduate with a diploma in Civil, or Mechanical Design, or Drafting in a related discipline or equivalent experience
      • Detailed knowledge of 2D structural associated industry detailing standards. Detailed knowledge of 2D structural drafting, Material take off and material control systems. Knowledge on AutoCAD & MSOffice

      Responsibilities

      Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

      • Prepare discipline deliverables such as:
        • Documenting / filing inputs received from Document controllers / Engineering / Production Engineering.
        • Material take-off from drawings with proper piece marking.
        • Preparation of pre-nesting drawings for materials ordering.
        • Coordination with Team Leader / Lead Engineer for related queries in drawings & material substitution.
        • Preparation of various reports for materials ordering / tracking / control.
        • Initiating in recording Lesson Learnt and standardization of repetitive activities to achieve time / cost saving
