What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Execute the employer's strategy to enhance local disaster response capabilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with disaster assistance organizations at various governmental levels
- Support the recruitment, onboarding, and development of volunteer leaders
- Provide Emergency Operations Center (EOC) support during disaster situations
- Facilitate communication and coordination between field operations, the EOC, and external stakeholders
What is Required (Qualifications):
- 1-3 years of relevant professional experience in military, disaster response, emergency management, or first responder fields
- Proven experience in personnel management, including recruiting and training employees and volunteers
- Proficient in technology tools for remote communication and coordination
- Successful past performance in leading volunteers is highly desired
- Reliable transportation for local travel to support ongoing efforts
