Cross-Journal Associate or Senior Editor – Nature Reviews
Location: New York, or Heidelberg, Germany (Hybrid Working).

Nature Reviews has a vacancy for a full-time Cross-Journal Associate or Senior Editor. As Springer Nature is committed to our diversity, equity and inclusion strategy, we welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds.
This exciting position involves being part of a large team of Cross-Journal Editors that work closely, and flexibly, with the clinical sciences, life sciences and physical sciences Nature Reviews journal teams on varied aspects of the editorial process, including editing commissioned content, organizing peer review and writing short articles. The team also developed the Research Briefing article (short, accessible summaries of original research papers), which they now produce and coordinate across the Nature Research Journals, and they continue to look into how they can further support these journals with summary content.
To meet these challenging tasks, the ideal candidate will have a broad knowledge of, and ideally research experience in, scientific areas relevant to one or more of the clinical or life sciences Nature Reviews journals. Previous editorial experience would be an advantage but is not essential. Other essential attributes include exceptional literary and verbal communication skills, great attention to detail, a commitment to the communication of scientific ideas and excellent organizational and time-management skills.
The successful candidate will report to one of the Reviews Cross-Journal Editorial Team Managers.

In order to comply with various pay transparency laws and legislations in the United States, the salary range and benefits for this position are listed below. This information is only applicable to US-based candidates and the actual salary offer may vary based on work experience, education and skill level. Annualized Base Salary Range: Associate Editor: $74,000 / Senior Editor: $91,000.
