Job Description
- Req#: 90066
- Support projects through execution to implement best practices for Primary and Secondary packaging development for new product launches (when not covered by R&D packaging, low complexity, Shade Extensions).
- Tertiary packaging development in collaboration with TPMs and applying the test method of this packaging and for the FGs (as applicable).
- Create direct input into the system Material Master Data (MMD-MDG SAP) enrichment.
- Timely completion of technical specification set-up, review, and approvals in the Prosper System (technical specification system).
- Ensure that Logistics data is available and that actions that are agreed with central coding are acted upon.
- Actively participate in project review meetings and technical meetings with the suppliers and TPMs.
- Identifying and owning improvement projects within the department.
- Ensure that new projects in Coty are compliant with EEC Directive for sustainability Road Map defined in EXO.
- Participate in Training and visits development in or by the Team.
- Degree in Packaging, Engineering, or Design or a similar technical vocation/ equivalent industry experience
- Basic experience in the cosmetics Industry.
- A good level of English is mandatory.
- Proactively, autonomous, action-orientated, and pragmatic.
- Proactive in developing multiple skills and open to learning from others.

ROLE AND DEPARTMENT
The role of the Packaging Technician is to create, maintain, and administer associated packaging specifications to enable production at third-party manufacturers (TPMs) to Coty’s standards for New Initiatives E2E of low complexity projects, for Saving and Improvement Projects and for ongoing production products (Base business) across our portfolio; with a focus on the quality, cost, and sustainability; developing and executing tertiary packaging components (depending on project needs).
Operating within Coty’s technical specification system (Prosper), and defined packaging development processes, the role will also liaise with R&D Packaging, and Quality to ensure fit-for-use packaging and specifications are available, whilst engaging with multiple functions to input into the SAP Master data process.
Externally he/she will support the leading TPMs and supplier relationships, ensuring that projects and processes are compliant with Coty requirements.
