      Job Description:

      Supports the second line of defense by providing robust guidance, advice and challenge across the organization, helping to ensure reporting requirements are understood, owned and managed to the firm's risk appetite.

      Ensures adherence to the policies and procedures established by the company. Manages policy, standard definition and monitoring of policy, standard implementation, ensuring harmonization and consistency of risk policies. Monitors and manages risk/exposure and compliance with the company's policies.

      Identifies, manages and reports on the company's risk areas. Evaluates the adequacy and effectiveness of data, document retention, and monitors systems.

      Prepares monthly Portfolio reporting generating key credit metrics and monitoring performance over time.

      Summarize key messages and effectively communicate to Senior Management.

      Proactively monitor and identify key risks of the portfolio.

      Coordinate with Business and Technology partners to build Reporting capabilities.

      Work with Risks and Finance teams to effectively monitor performance of the portfolio, budget tracking and reserve impacts.


      Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
      Identifies potential risks and assesses impact, probability of occurrence and timeframe.

      Prepares monthly Portfolio reporting generating key credit metrics and monitoring performance over time. Summarize key messages and effectively communicate to Senior Management. Coordinate with Business and Technology partners to build Reporting capabilities.

      Monitor monthly portfolio Limits, ensure timely resolution of action plans and provides effective challenge to the business teams
      Support ad hoc analysis and quantify risks impacting portfolios.

      Perform reconciliations with General Ledger and other reporting system to ensure completeness and accuracy of information.

      Acts as a liaison between third line of defense and first line of defense
      Shares knowledge, coaches, and develops staff capabilities to strengthen understanding of industry and business issues and best practices for implementation.
      Maintains a strong rapport with local risk teams to create a strong risk culture of performance and accountability.

      Education:

      Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience

      Work Experience:

      5-9 years – Financial Services Industry experience.

      Skills and Abilities:
      Advanced knowledge of risk management practices, identification, resolution and implementation.
      Advanced knowledge of risk management best practices and how to implement them.

      Experience managing commercial portfolios, with a focus on Commercial Real Estate portfolios. Understanding of Credit Portfolio management practices and key metrics to monitor quality and performance of the portfolio.

      Demonstrated problem-solving and analysis skills with attention to detail.
      Strong knowledge of Excel/spreadsheets tools to support reporting and portfolio analytics. Knowledge of data analytics tools (SQL, Tableau, Python).

      Solid understanding of data supporting credit risk processes.

      Detail orientated with the ability to also understand overall strategy.
      Ability to multi-task and meet strict deadlines.
      Ability to adjust to new developments/changing circumstances.

      Ability to understand complex problems and effectively prepare summaries to Senior Management.

      Working Conditions:

      Frequent Minimal physical effort such as sitting, standing and walking. Occasional moving and lifting equipment and furniture is required to support onsite and offsite meeting setup and teardown. Physically capable of lifting up to fifty pounds, able to bend, kneel, climb ladders.

      For NYC Job Applicants: The base annual salary range for this position is $109,250 - $135,125. The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications and location.
