What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Lead the proposal submission process, including review and interpretation of guidelines
- Advise faculty and staff on proposal development and submission requirements
- Prepare proposal subsections, budgets, and non-technical components
- Obtain necessary approvals from departmental, College, and University levels
- Serve as a liaison with sponsors, research partners, and internal departments
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- 6+ years of relevant experience in pre-award research administration
- Proficiency with electronic proposal submission sites
- High attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Current AOR (Authorized Organizational Representative) certification
- Experience with Strategic Information Management System (SIMS) and SIMS budgets
- Graduate of Penn State ACOR Certification and Education Series (ACES)
- Certified Research Administrator (CRA) or desire to obtain certification
