      What is the opportunity?

      The successful candidate will join the newly formed Privacy Risk team in Wealth Management – Europe (WME), within Data Governance and supports the successful delivery of WME Privacy Risk’s programme of work. This will be a permanent role based in our London office.

      The work programme is designed to promote, enhance, and maintain good 1LOD responsibility for Privacy risk as defined in the RBC Risk taxonomy.

      You will be responsible for supporting and maintaining the WME Record of Processing, supporting the business to complete Privacy Risk Assessments, creating training and communication materials, supporting the roll out of training across WME and supporting initiatives that enhance privacy risk management across the business.

      Opportunities to work more broadly within data governance include (but are not limited to) data quality, culture, data sharing and usage.

      What will you do?

      • Work with WME business to help articulate key processes and processing activities within their Record of Processing.

      • Work with WME business to complete Privacy Risk Assessments.

      • Work with WME business to help them understand the privacy implications of their processes, embedding Privacy by Design.

      • Support the launch, roll out and education of Privacy Champions across WME.

      • Create monthly reports and presentations using raw data from Privacy tools to support the socialisation of KRIs and KPIs.

      • Assist with implementing roadmap of work by taking ownership for privacy related materials, assigning actions to others and working with stakeholders.

      • Arrange initiatives, training and communications across different channels, working closely with Communications, Business Shared Services & Learning & Development teams.

      • Gather and analyse feedback from initiatives, utilising surveys and focus sessions.

      • Facilitation of and/or recording of actions from monthly Data Governance Panel.

      • Partnering with Associates within the broader Data Governance team, manage Privacy Risk Connect and intranet pages.

      • Create and collate materials and resources for learning, exploring both internal and external channels.

      What do you need to succeed?

      Must-have

      • Understanding Privacy risk, management, and governance, adhering to established policies and procedures in line with WME risk appetite.

      • Working with business stakeholders to ensure best practice, processes and procedures are followed

      • Experience of participating in projects with multiple stakeholders

      • Stakeholder management / facilitation of meetings

      • Working knowledge of databases, queries and reports

      Nice-to-have

      • Self-motivated, cooperative, and collaborative attitude

      • Excellent Microsoft Office skills (PowerPoint, Word)

      • Experience in RBC Connect or similar social technologies, including WebEx

      • Experience with Archer and / or creating database queries and reports

      • Awareness / understanding of the Privacy Program framework
